Identifying potential REF impact: workshop for REF impact prospect assessment groups in CoSE

This is a
workshop aimed at REF Impact Leads, REF impact prospect assessment group
Members, and other colleagues involved or interested in the identification and
development of potential REF Impact Case Studies for REF2029. The workshop is
organised by the Research Services REF Impact Team at University of Glasgow in
collaboration with the College Impact Team in the College of Science and Engineering. It has been designed with CoSE specific needs and priorities in mind, but is open to, and can be of interest to, staff in any College at University of Glasgow.
This
Workshop is part of a bigger programme of training and accompanying resources
in response to feedback from REF2021 aiming to further enhance the quality and
consistency of assessment of potential REF Impact Case Studies across all Schools
and Colleges at the University of Glasgow. Before attending this workshop we
recommend that you have attended the previous ‘Orientation for REF impact
Assessment’ workshop, or watched the online version of this, and familiarised yourself
with the criteria for assessing REF impact
Prospects.
In this
Workshop we will:
Provide a refresher on the UofG process and criteria
that underpins the identification of potential REF2029 impact case studies.
Explore how to identify impact prospects with
potential to develop into REF impact case studies through presentations
Discussion, and exercises.
Direct you to useful resources, people, and future
Training opportunities.
