As part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival, 'In the Shadows of the Hillfoots' will breathe life into four local folklore stories that have been long forgotten.
Joanne Ross, Kirsty Grant, Janet Crawford, and Ian Maxtone will take to the stage at the beautiful Coach House Theatre in Alloa, where they will tell stories of love, danger, magic, and the ever mysterious fairy, Red Cap. In the run up to Hallowe'en, lose yourself in these tales that once were told around campfires in this very county. You might say fairies are for children, you don't believe in fairies - well, in the words of the Scottish traveller and storyteller Jess Smith, “If you can stay with me then it’s grateful I’ll be, because if you haven’t experienced the supernatural, then why judge?”
A Q&A with the storytellers and director will take us to the finishing time of 9pm.
Directed by Helen Regan.
