These relaxed monthly meet-ups are perfect for trying your hand at something new, finding inspiration for your own projects and socialising with like-minded people. You can join in the activities below or do your own thing – just come along and get creative! Basic materials are provided and a member of staff is on hand to offer guidance if needed.
Friday 17 March - Beginners Botanical Sketching
Explore our new Gallery 4 exhibition, Imagined Landscapes, and discover ways to use botanical sketching to inspire artworks and journaling.
Friday 21 April - Visible Mending
Has your favourite jumper or pair of socks developed holes? Bring them along and give them a new lease of life with visible mending, inspired by some of the textiles on display in Art of Empowerment (Gallery 14).
Friday 19 May- Gallery Sketching
Take a close look at artworks on display in our new collection gallery displays and enjoy some sketching in Imagined Landscapes (Gallery 4) and View of Aberdeen (Gallery 15).
Friday 16 June- Knit and Natter
In the week of World Wide Knit in Public Day, bring along your own knitting project or start a new one in the company of others. Take a look at some of the stylish knitted swimming costumes in our new exhibition, Making a Splash!, in Gallery 3 from 10 June.
