Two-day course
Course dates: Sat 16 & Sun 17 November (two-day course).
Lightroom is a streamlined photograph retouching and organisational software from the makers of Photoshop. It takes all Photoshop’s photo-specific functions and puts them in an easy to use package to create the ideal photographer’s digital darkroom.
What will be covered?
We'll start with an introduction to using the Lightroom interface, including layout and functions. We'll also look at importing, organising and rating files as well as file metadata. We'll explore editing and adjusting photographs, exporting finished files (including to make further Photoshop alterations) as well as print and web preparation.
What should I bring?
Bring along a note paper and pen, some photographs on a USB drive (a minimum of at least 10 photos, there is no maximum limit). If you prefer to work on your own laptop with your own version of Lightroom, rather than our own Macs, then feel free to bring it along.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing for working in. Please note no sandals or open-toed footwear in the Print Studio.
What should I expect?
The weekend will consist of an informal tutorial aimed at allowing you to get a handle on the basics of Lightroom operation, how the program works, how to import, sort, edit, adjust and export finished files, plus how to create print and web templates. The teaching style will consist of information, demonstrations and practical use of the software. You are encouraged to take notes and ask questions.
Please ensure you have read our Print Studio Terms and Conditions before booking on to any of our Print Studio courses or workshops.
