From Monday 17 February at 10am tickets will be priced from £7.50. Already one of the most anticipated exhibitions of 2020, Jack Vettriano: The Early Years will celebrate the extraordinary career of one of the world's most highly sought artists by returning to his roots and the start of his artistic journey. This major new exhibition will include nearly a dozen paintings, signed with his birth name, Jack Hoggan, and produced in his formative years before he made the decision to become a full-time artist. They will be shown alongside major works he created from his late 30s until he moved to London in 1998 and will offer a fascinating insight to the process of development and evolution in his work. There will be more than 50 works on show, including many instantly recognisable paintings. Set to be a major attraction with his legions of fans locally, nationally and worldwide, The Early Years exhibition is being curated in partnership with the artist and is a rare chance to see many of his paintings on loan from private collections. Travel: Kirkcaldy Galleries has great links with public transport. Kirkcaldy Station is right next door, with direct links with Edinburgh to the south and Dundee to the north and to other major towns. The town's bus station, again with frequent direct links to Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow, is just a few minutes from the galleries. While parking at the galleries is limited, there are several pay-and-display car parks near the building and in the town centre.
