Anyone who spends anytime in bookshops will know that Feminist Retellings of classic stories and slices of mythology abound. And we are thrilled that two of the genres finest practitioners, Jennifer Saint and Natasha Solomons, will be joining us at Greenside Church in October.
Natasha and Jennifer will be joining us to talk about their latest releases, _Fair Rosaline_ & _Atalanta_ , respectively. So join us in celebrating this pair of wonderful authors and their love for reclaiming the old and giving it a new lease of life.
Natasha Solomons is the author of seven internationally bestselling novels, including:_ Mr Rosenblum's List_, _The Novel in the Viola_, which was chosen for the Richard & Judy Book Club, and _I, Mona Lisa_. Her work has been translated into seventeen languages. She lives in Dorset with her family. _Fair Rosaline_ is Natasha's latest novel: a subversive, powerful untelling of Shakespeare’s _Romeo & Juliet_, narrated by a fierce, forgotten voice: this is Rosaline’s story.
Thanks to a lifelong fascination with Ancient Greek mythology, Jennifer Saint read Classical Studies at King's College, London. Since September 2022, she has been a Visiting Research Fellow in the Classics Department there. In between, she spent thirteen years as an English teacher, sharing a love of literature and creative writing with her students. _Ariadne_ is her first novel, _Elektra_ is her second, and _Atalanta_ is her latest mesmerising mythological retelling.
