A talk on the soldier poet John Roy Stuart, Colonel of the Jacobite Edinburgh Regiment. The event will comprise an initial half-hour presentation by Michael Nevin, Chair of The 1745 Association SCIO and author of 'Reminiscences of a Jacobite', on John Roy's life, career and poems, followed by Q&A and a discussion led by the distinguished historian and journalist Michael Fry, author of A Higher World: Scotland 1707-1815 and a regular column on Scottish history every Monday in The National.
