Ken Words Poetry Walk| 1-5pm | Start & finish at Lagwyne Hall, Carsphairn| 6 places | �7 (includes minibus from Lagwyne Hall)
The poet Angus Macmillan, and place- name researcher Michael Ansell, will guide a 2 hour / 3km walk on the old pack road south to Polmaddy.They will encourage an imaginative exploration of the significances of the route to this abandoned settlement, and responses to the wider, wilder landscape of the place.
The 112 hour writing workshop in the Lagwyne Hall afterwards will offer the opportunity to develop noticings and field-notes made during the walk into a poem or short piece of prose.
