Landscape through the Lens – Capturing the beauty of Crathes with award-winning photojournalist Paul Glendell
Spend the morning learning how to compose great landscape photographs with Crathes Castle, Garden & Estate as a focus theme. A selection of pictures from the workshop will be exhibited in the Courtyard Café later in the season.
What will you need?
Any sort of camera (but not a mobile). You can bring a film camera if you like but comments and discussion of the photos won’t be possible on the day.
How will the workshop run?
You’ll spend around half an hour in our classroom being shown a variety of landscape photography techniques, followed by an hour and a half taking photographs around Crathes Garden & Estate. When outside, participants will be split into small groups, with Paul assisting you as you try out the new techniques you’ve learnt in the classroom.
Returning inside for tea/coffee, you’ll be shown how to select your best images followed by group and individual comments from Paul.
When does the workshop take place?
Crathes Castle in the Courtyard Café
Tickets: £15 per person
Watch out for Paul’s special full-day workshop, Capturing the Light, on Sunday 9 June, aimed at more advanced and adventurous photographers!
