Glasgow-based singer and composer Lavinia Blackwall is a former member of folk rock band Trembling Bells, whose seven albums were all met with critical acclaim. The classically trained vocalist has also worked as a performer and arranger with Nick Garrie, Kaleidoscope, Mike Heron, and Bonnie Prince Billy.
Blackwall’s debut album Muggington Lane End earned excellent reviews from publications as diverse as Rolling Stone France, Shindig!, The Financial Times, Uncut, and The Scotsman. Her new solo material is a rich tapestry of lyrical melodies, glorious vocals, and beautifully arranged songsmithery, ably accompanied by Stilton – the talents of Marco Rea, Jim McGoldrick and Seb Johnson.
