One hundred years since the dawn of the 1920s, the City Art Centre is staging a new exhibition that explores the events, ideas and styles that shaped Scottish art during this fascinating decade. This lecture provides an introduction to the exhibition, investigating a range of artworks by artists including S.J. Peploe, Dorothy Johnstone, Eric Robertson and William McCance, and placing them within the context of their times. Dr Helen Scott is Curator of Fine Art at the City Art Centre.
