In parallel to Japanese architect Kengo Kuma designing the V&A for Dundee, his project now complete and building open, I draw together my personal connection between Japan and Dundee following travel in Japan as interwoven paintings.
The exhibition will display over forty new paintings. Work will range from 6 inches to 6 foot framed size, including a unique round collection and will be accompanied by conceptual artwork. NEW printed ' Watercolour my way ' books and cards will also be available.
Following Japanese tradition, I have found myself drawn towards nature, exploring natural materials and spent much time in the field working with natural phenomenon.
Cherry blossom paintings continue to grow as do temples, Japanese houses, lanterns, prawns, flowers and the Dundee pie!
Liz will be painting in the gallery daily and asks you bring questions and your curiosity.
