Festival based around the celebration of Celtic and Pictish heritage.
An interactive family day designed to celebrate and learn about our rich Celtic and Pictish heritage in Scotland. Featuring re-enactment displays by historical re-enactment groups along with workshops in various crafts and living history. See what daily life was like in Bronze Age and Iron Age Scotland, including a display dedicated to children's activities.
Visitors can try their hand at woodwork (making spoons etc) spinning, weaving, jewellery making, stone carving, painting, ogham and rhunic writing and much more. Also in attendance will be Kilmartin Museum, the leading authority on Scottish Celtic life who will be providing info, displays and activities for children and adults including mock archaeological digs. There will also be a large craft market, a specially created labyrinth and live music.
