This workshop is an ideal introduction to making rings out of silver and an opportunity to learn the basic techniques of jewellery making including manipulating silver and soldering.
The day begins with a demonstration of how to make basic rings out of wire and sheet metal. Students practice this technique before moving on to complete a spinner ring with moveable wire components. Different textures and finishes can be applied to the spinning rings to make your ring completely unique.
Base metals and silver are provided and the tutor is on hand to work with students one-to-one guiding them through the designing and making of their rings. All tools and materials are provided.
