The Glasgow School of Art generated some of the most skilful embroiders in the country at the turn of the last century. Artists like Margaret Macdonald, Jessie Newbery, Jessie M King and Ann Macbeth demonstrated some of the finest embroidery techniques of this period, along with playing their part in contributing to The Glasgow Style.
