The upcoming Murray Trophy – Glasgow, an ATP Challenger tournament curated by the LTA, will be hosted in Glasgow from the 16-22 September 2019.
Taking place at the Scotstoun Leisure Centre in Glasgow, the Murray Trophy - Glasgow gives audiences the chance to see some of the finest talent British tennis has to offer, as well as a host of world tour players. The ATP Challenger event was this year re-named after the Murray family in tribute to their services to British tennis, and has been developed to deliver a world class experience for fans.
Jamie Murray - the first British player to rank as world number one in the open era - has worked closely with the LTA to develop the event:
"I'm excited to be working with the LTA and Glasgow Life on this event and honoured to have it named in recognition of my family's achievements in the sport," said six-time Grand Slam doubles champion Jamie.
"I really hope we can use the Murray Trophy to increase awareness of tennis and create opportunities for more boys and girls to play, both in Scotland and Britain as a whole."
