Write, record and produce your own original track with music professionals Dave Martin and Ross Carbarns aka DJ Butterscotch If you have always wanted to know how bands write and record their own original music then this is for you. Dave and Ross have many years of professional experience in recording and performing and you will get the opportunity to work with these two on your own original track. You will be involved in all aspects of this process from playing instruments, writing melody, writing lyrics, drum parts etc and you will use leading industry standard music software Logic Pro X to record and produce the tracks. If you are only interested in the technical side of music production then this is also for you. Dave has years of production experience and he will have you working with microphones and will have you recording on Logic Pro X and understanding basic recording, production and mixing techniques. Sessions will start with 4 x 2 hour online sessions followed by 2 half days at Lyth Arts Centre. These sessions are free to attend but booking is essential. Participants are expected to attend all sessions. Age guidance: 13-19
