The photography exhibition showcases B&W photos by Monika Walendziak and colour landscape photography by Maciej Zurawski.
Monika Walendziak is a painter, photographer and art historian. Presented series of photographs is an attempt to introduce one of the most important issues her work has been dealing with since the very beginning of her artistic practice, which is the re-acquisition and purification of places pre-appropriated by human activity.
Photographs show a post factum vision in which forces of nature, capable of obliterating the memory of past events, have already performed their actions. They are also a reflection on the processes of regeneration and forgetting in microscale of private experience.
Maciej is an entrepreneur, scientist, photographer, and meditator. His colour landscape photos chosen for this exhibition reflect the shifting scenery of the Scottish Highlands. They express a fascination with the abstract, remote wilderness and the transient light. But perhaps this natural grandeur is also a sign of, and invitation into, an inner world, persisting beyond time and space.
