Written and directed by Eva D’Amico
No Shakespeare is a delightful journey through Italian theatrical and literary culture from the Renaissance to the present day. It's a succession of emotions and settings suitable for all ages, for those who love Italy and for those who have always dreamed of getting to know it better.
The show follows a group of novice actors as they attempt to find the right script to stage in a few months, bringing to life some of the most famous pieces of Italian theatre, alternating with the classic dynamics of a group of friends.
A charming group of actors will guide you through a metatheatrical experience where the text and the theatrical experience blend. For one evening, it's "No Shakespeare" but Goldoni, Gianni Rodari, Pirandello, Eduardo, Garinei and Giovannini, Lorenzo the Magnificent, and much more... but with a small final tribute to the beautiful land that hosts us!
Performed in Italian with English subtitles.
