November Lights are a talented Glasgow five-piece led by singer songwriter James Hopkins. Harnessing bold, pop ambition with song craft that belies their age, the band achieves a sound that’s unusual for their West of Scotland roots blending American pop influences such as One Republic and John Mayer with alternative indie rock favourites like Kodaline, The 1975 and Ben Folds Five.
What started as a solo project for James began to take shape when ambition made him reach out to best friend and guitarist Scott to help recreate a special sound and vision. Guitarist and producer Josh soon joined, adding his keen ear and exceptional guitar playing to the project. Wild child of the band, Alan, answered a twitter request for a bass player before the baby of the group, Colin, was found after making a name for himself as the best young drummer around.
November Lights was complete and a winter of hard work began. The musicians continue to capture the attention of audiences across Glasgow supporting the likes of Walking on Cars and Bwani Junction.
