Join African and Caribbean Elders in Scotland for stories from their new oral history project ‘One Life, Two Cultures’.
Founded in 2019, African and Caribbean Elders in Scotland (ACES) is an organisation for African and Caribbean over-60s living in Scotland. Members from around the country meet regularly online, providing mutual support, companionship and laughs.
For International Men’s Day, ACES will host a live online event offering a sneak peek at their current oral history project ‘One Life, Two Cultures’. Members will share their experiences of life in Scotland through personal memories, and recollections of places and events. There will be a break for open discussion, so have some food and a cuppa ready to relax, eat, and chat with other attendees.
Join ACES for insightful commentary from their elders and learn how to articulate your own experiences for future generations. All are very welcome but must register in advance via Eventbrite.
