In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn to make paper beads, butterflies and other delicate shapes for your very own paper jewellery collection.
This could consist of rings, necklaces, corsages, bracelets or fascinators, making use of a range of jewellery accessories available during the workshop.
The first hour of the workshop will be focused on making a design with the tutor's guidance.
It is a good idea to think a bit about the shapes and styles of jewellery you like but you will be offered support and see which materials can be used and how when you come to the workshop.
The rest couple of hours are all about bringing your design to life!
What you'll need to bring
We can provide all materials, however if you'd like to bring your own discarded book, magazine pages, scraps of tissue and wrapping paper, thin card please do so.
This workshop with Edinburgh paper and book artist Isabell Buenz offers a fun and relaxing experience for all abilities and anybody with an interest in upcycling and art.
We recommend to upcycle as much as you can, as a few participants have asked us to let them know where to get beads and similar tiny objects, this is a list of recommendations:

Age group
Minors need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless the event description states otherwise. The adult can also attend the workshop if they have purchased a ticket for themselves too. Please note at the moment all tickets have to be bought online as we don’t have facilities for in-store purchases yet.
Location
This workshop is taking place at our new premises at Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre. We are located on the Ground Floor at the North end of the shopping centre opposite Waterstones. There is free parking outside, as well as lots of public transport links which you can find more information about here.
In addition, we will also be cleaning and sanitising all equipment and work stations before and after each of our workshop sessions.
Refunds and Cancellations
Tickets will be refunded if:
The event is cancelled
The event changes location and you cannot attend
If you have been charged a booking fee this cannot be refunded as the booking service has still been provided
Unfortunately we can not offer refunds if:
You can no longer attend the event due to personal circumstances
You have changed your mind about wanting to go to the event
The event is rescheduled at a later date
In some circumstances you will be offered instead a voucher or to transfer the ticket to the next available date
