Award-winning composer, Matthew Grouse, in collaboration with filmmaker and visual artist Andy Sowerby, combines sight, sound and even touch in a multi-layered exploration of the body’s largest sensory organ – our skin.
CONTACT is a performance where our sense of touch is enhanced equally to that of seeing and hearing using custom-built, tactile instruments amongst more familiar ones. The artists enable you to feel music; to experience microscopic and distorted visuals reacting to both live violin and pre-recorded sounds; and for their own bodies to be an integral part of the performance.
Developed as part of Seeing Hearing UK Mexico, a three-year collaboration between the UK and Mexico made possible with the support of Anglo Arts, the cultural department of The Anglo Mexican Foundation A.C; British Council Mexico; CMMAS (Centro Mexicano para la Música y las Artes Sonoras) and Cryptic.
This seated performance has a highly reduced capacity and will follow strict hygiene and social-distancing measures.
Advanced booking essential. If you are attending as a household or social bubble group, please make a single booking for the entire party, so we can ensure you sit together.
