Deaf Action was the first official deaf organisation in the world and is now the last remaining deaf centre in Scotland. As part of their inaugural Deaf Festival, launching in August 2022, the unique centre will screen a series of new film clips that capture their relationship with the deaf community in Scotland: from older members’ childhood memories to young peoples’ vision for the future.
Screenings will be held in historically significant rooms around Deaf Action’s building, as well as online. All stories will be presented in British Sign Language, with captions and voiceover.
