Scotland’s new theatre sensation ‘PYLON’ will show at Glasgow’s Mitchell Theatre on Saturday September 15th 2018.
Based on real events which took place in Kilmarnock in the 1990’s, PYLON tells in the incredible story of Davie McFarlane.
After claims are made by residents of a housing scheme that nearby electricity pylons are contributing to high cancer rates in the
area, Davie battles with authorities to find the answers his community deserves. Davie not only finds himself fighting for the truth
but also to make sense of an incredible and bizarre turn of events that leave him questioning everything he once believed.
A powerful and emotional story laced with humour and honesty, PYLON uses live music, stunning visuals and
incredible on stage storytelling to leave audiences entertained and captivated.
PYLON has returned from being showcased at BEAM2018 at London’s Theatre Royal and is scheduled for a nationwide tour
in 2019. Book tickets early to avoid disappointment.
"Heartfelt passion, raw talent, wit and incredible live music. Pylon tells an important tale"
"The personal nature of Pylon is plain to see but it also stands for something deeper - the real people behind the headlines."
It is entirely possible that Pylon will be seen as the genesis of a wave of socially conscious theatre coming our way."
