Reared among the Pentecostal pines in the farthest corner of the American West, Rachel Harrington's albums have lauded her the highest praise. When Bob Harris first heard her in '07 he hailed her debut as, "Absolutely brilliant [and] already a contender for album of the year." Four records later, she's accrued a fecund garden of similar blossoms including top reviews from Q, Mojo, The Irish Times, and a basketful of songwriting contest awards. Returning to the UK after a five-year hiatus from touring, this sixth generation Oregonian has new songs and fresh stories you don't want to miss.
Rachel has previously made six extensive tours in the UK and the Benelux countries since 2007. In the course of these she has played at major UK festivals - Celtic Connections in Glasgow; SummerTyne at The Sage, Gateshead; Southern Fried in Perth; and The Maverick Festival in Suffolk - as well as a number of smaller festivals. Rachel last played Scarborough in 2009.
