The Scottish Pink Floyd started out as Pond Floyd, put together as a favour to play a one-off charity gig for Breakthrough Breast Cancer in May 2013 -the "Pond" part denoting a link to a proposed member of the original line-up who lived "across the pond" in the US. The gig was a roaring success and the guys had such a great time together that they decided to continue. Three years on we've had a couple of changes to the line-up and are currently at our biggest and best. We regularly play venues with 300+ capacity across the UK and bring passion and professionalism to each and every rehearsal and gig. The Scottish Pink Floyd is now very much a family of close friends. We love the time we spend together, making sure that each song is as close to the original as possible. Our set comprises some 25 songs which change as we gauge what works best in a live situation, keeping it fresh for us and our regular followers. We have built our stage show from nothing and are constantly striving to deliver bigger and better performances, in terms of lighting etc, as we know that the Floyd experience is as much about the visuals as it is the songs. Many venues have been re-booking us from the beginning and the crowds grow larger each time. Moving forward, we wish to bring our interpretation of Pink Floyd to a wider audience of people in a variety of new and exciting settings. As part of this, we are looking to focus on festivals in 2018, having undertaken a fair bit of research this year. As tribute bands go, we strive to be among the best and guarantee a high quality performance, every time. Most of our bookings come via word of mouth which we believe to be the greatest endorsement and marketing you can have.
