It’s estimated that around 70% of women have experienced a lack of desire for sex. This can be an isolating experience; everyone seems to be having more sex than I am, what’s wrong with me?
Considering the absence of thorough sex education, never mind discussions of pleasure, these statistics are no surprise. When our cultural definition of sex is reduced to the script that idealises penetration; we forget that arousal is a full body, full heart, individual and relational experience.
Join Somatic Sex and Relationship Therapists, Emily King and Georgie Blewett, to explore and dispel the myth of low libido in women.
Consider the lack of understanding of female sexuality as a psychological chastity belt, and get ready to take it off.
While our aim at Voluptas is to curate inclusive events welcoming to all, this event is to specifically help those with lived experiences of low libido in women and dispel gender-based myths that female pleasure is harder to achieve.
Therefore we ask that those who only have experience from the male perspective refrain from purchasing a ticket so we can hold space for the female perspective.
On arrival at the Scotsman Hotel we will greet you with a glass of wine and a chance to decompress with other attendees before the talk begins. There will be a chance to ask questions and socialise after the event should you wish.
We only have limited seating within the Balvenie Suite so we encourage you to purchase your ticket soon to avoid missing out on an enlightening evening.
