Over 60 community coastal rowing clubs will pass a commemorative baton around the coast of Scotland in a unique relay taking six months.
This ambitious, multi-staged voyage has never before been undertaken in open rowing boats. The five person skiffs, built by the coastal communities themselves, will pass an especially commissioned commemorative baton between Scottish Coastal Rowing Association clubs all around the coast, and on some freshwater lochs.
This non-competitive, collaborative event will involve a total number of at least 1,000 rowers of all ages, and take over six months to complete the 1,000 miles, allowing for the vagaries of weather and tides.
Dates for individual stages include:
4 June - 28 June - Isle of Seil to Coigach
28 June - 11 July - Orkney, Wick to Avoch
11 July - 25 July - Avoch to Fraserburgh
26 July - 8 August - Fraserburgh to Broughty Ferry

17 August - 30 August - Anstruther to North Berwick
30 August - 20 September - North Berwick to Paxton
