Champion Picea sitchenisis (Sitka Spruce), at least 64m tall with a girth of 760cm. 150m upstream of Randolph’s Leap on the River Findhorn. It is a magnificent tree easily seen from the river paths. Logie Steading is less than a mile to the north: the Plant Shop specializes in unusual hardy plants including many varieties of Sorbus and Viburnum, Decaisnea, Paulownia and other trees that do surprisingly well this far north. In the first half of October the autumn colours in Logie House Garden can be spectacular.
