All boats to be displayed were hand made, using traditional techniques and remind us that as an island community, the sea is an important and ever present part of our lives.
This collection represents a range of different boat builders and includes construction dates from the early 1900's to the most recent in 2016. All boats have been loaned by their current owners for the duration of this exhibition.
The display is accompanied by a town centre trail activity for all ages to find the names of hidden boats on their Shetland Boat Journey. Anyone can take part by collecting an entry form from the VisitScotland Information Centre at the Market Cross.
