Imagine stepping into a green and tranquil place where you can switch off your phone, stop talking and just take in the view and listen to nature....
This year Logan Botanic Garden is the first garden in Dumfries & Galloway to join Silent Space - encouraging people to switch off their phones and truly relax.
Our Silent Space is in the Tasmanian Creek near the picnic area. A spokesperson for Silent Space said: "There is nothing complicated about Silent Space. It's an area of a garden or park, already enjoyed by the public that is reserved for silent visiting."
Once inside the silent space we stop talking, turn off our phones and cameras and switch off our social media. There are no other rules. We take time to notice the beauty around us as even as little as five minutes will help us enjoy the restorative benefits of being peaceful in a green place.
Logan Botanic Garden is delighted to be part of this project and hopes that many of our visitors and other Scottish Gardens will embrace Silent Space.
