Fresh from their tour of the Pacific, finishing with a performance in Apia, Samoa, Neil Adam and Judy Turner's "Sing Me A Song" is beautifully engaging, full of fascinating information about the life of Robert Louis Stevenson, delivered in words, music, and pictures. The style is perfect for the subject - intimate story telling in Stevenson's own drawingroom. The songs - Neil's settings of RLS's words - are lively and melodious. He sings with vigour, clarity and sensitivity, accompanied by himself with skill on the guitar, and Judy's fine playing on a variety of instruments. The performance is a joy.
With the added bonus of wine and canapes in the interval!
