The Skye Food & Drink Festival is a celebration of the Island's supreme natural larder and the premium food and drink harvested, produced and served by local people.
The festival showcases Skye as a gourmet destination with some of the best natural produce in Scotland as well as a few of the finest chefs.
The six-day festival, which takes place at the end of June, includes masterclasses, cookery demonstrations, celebrity chef cook-offs and special events.
The four-day Island-wide Festival Food and Drink Trail (24-27 June) provides the opportunity for culinary visitors to meet the producers and the people who serve food and drink on Skye, enjoy special festival-focused events around the Island and take advantage of exclusive special offers in food, drink and hospitality.
The two-day Festival Market in Broadford Hall (28 and 29 June) is a showcase of the diversity of quality produce made by local and visiting producers. From whisky, gin, wine and beer, meat, fish, chutneys and bread, to chocolate and cheese makers, the market has something for everyone. To help celebrate, there is an artisan cafe on site as well as live music and that compulsory Highland ceilidh dance.
The 2019 Festival will be launched at An Crubh, Duisdale. This seafood-themed event will include celebrity Ready, Steady Cook, high tea, sea shanties and a lot of fun.
