Springfield Cambridge Festival Chorus and Orchestra present:
IN JOYFUL SONG
The Christmas concerts of the Springfield Cambridge Festival Chorus and Orchestra have been thrilling capacity audiences in the Royal Concert Hall since 2002. The 140-strong Bishopbriggs-based chorus, 45-piece orchestra, Junior Chorus and soloists, all led by Scottish composer and conductor Alan A Craig, present feasts of festive music with Hollywood-style accompaniments that have become routinely described by regular attenders as “the start of Christmas”.
In Joyful Song marks the series’ 21st anniversary and promises to maintain the beloved tradition of bringing the latest popular arrangements of traditional and contemporary sacred music to Glasgow music lovers. As always, there will be opportunities for orchestra, choirs and audience to join in some roof-raising communal carol singing.
The Springfield Cambridge concerts raise funds for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). To date the generosity of audiences and performing artists has resulted in over £430,000 being donated to this great cause. All ticket profits and donations from In Joyful Song will be given to the charity. Be sure not to miss your chance of securing tickets to one of the most beautiful nights in the Glasgow music calendar.
