A DOCMA is a 5-minute documentary film made by 5 filmmakers in 5 different documentary styles. It’s a game - designed to get our creative juices flowing! Roles and tasks are determined by lottery, and filmmakers must adhere to a set of rules: The DOCMA Commandments.
Come along and learn how to make your own DOCMA film. Teams will be formed, roles allocated, and the rules explained. You’ll have 2 days to complete your own bit of documentary magic which will be screened to fellow participants and friends on the last day of the Festival. Completed films will be added to the ever-growing online DOCMA archive.
You will need something to shoot and edit on, e.g. a smart phone and laptop. If you need to borrow these to be able to take part, please email firstname.lastname@example.org in advance of the event.
