This Spring session, our teams at STEM and on Valentin's farm have paired up to bring you"It all Makes Sense".Two workshops in one day, designed to suit your youngest learners.
At Valentin's Farm, learners will become detectives as they follow the scent for clues around the farm that help us understand how every feather, fleece, cluck, muck, snuffle, sniff, moo and poo is essential for our animals to thrive. They will then put their own senses to the test, along with their new knowledge, in our senses box challenge.
At our STEM centre, Pupils will look at the underwater world through the eyes of the animals that live there and discover how animals use senses to distinguish between food and danger. They will learn how to do their bit to keep plastic out of the oceans.
Our school education workshops support the delivery of The Curriculum For Excellence, and many of our activities are based outdoors on our 2000 acre estate, making use of our natural spaces to inspire learning. The King's Foundation works in harmony with the natural world, and as such our workshops also touch upon the UN Sustainable Development goals and support learning for sustainability. Please see below for further workshop details.
Our workshop can accommodate a maximum of 30 pupils.
