Sack off yr office Xmas party once again and head to Fruitmarket for TFEH's annual non-denominational non-idiomatic festive celebrations...
MARIAM REZAEI.
Fairy Tale Of Newcastle: Probably the hardest working improviser ever to grace a TFEH event, Doc Rezaei's commitment to mangling vinyl records across borders is enough to make us workshy homebodies blush. Some blowhards will want to waffle about her Paul Hamlyn Award, her composition for the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, her visage gracing magazine covers or her countless collaborations with the upper echelons of Experimental & New Music, but we would rather extoll the virtues of her tireless graft in the No Audience Underground, rescuing turntables from the dullards and introducing a new generation of weirdos to the joys of noise via her TOPH programme. DECK(S) THE HALLS!

MARIAM REZAEI & ALI ROBERTSON.
Band Aid: The doctor is in session and it'll take more than a plaster to fix up her first patient as Rezaei will be operating on the frequently ailing free player voted "most likely to phone in sick on Xmas Day". TFEH is not convinced that the ex-Usurper Robertson needs an introduction, or even deserves one, but you can expect a set of aural celebrations that appreciates the advent of accidents and understands that the festive detritus headed for your recycling bin is often more fun than the well considered gifts you've received.

EUAN CURRIE & MARLO DE LARA.
Driving Home For Xmas: TFEH welcomes Marlo back where she belongs, in the city that she once called home before Northern English Academia robbed us of her, to reunite with Euan, the local authority's most tireless investigator of magnetic tape murk, for a performance that might indirectly capitalise on the excitement generated by their appearance at the BBC's Tectonics Festival in May, but is more likely to have you declaring this "the most wonderful time of the year".

OFF BRAND & STEWART SMITH.
Last Xmas: No, really.... this might be the LAST Xmas. Have youse seen the news lately?!?! With 2025 threatening to usher in a new apocalyptic era, grab a seat on the frontline as Khnaisser & Robertson, TFEH's house band for end times, enter into a dialogue with The Wire Magazine's resident agony aunt / man-on-the-ground / Jazz Policeman, Stewart Smith, in hopes of brokering a lasting peace on earth.
