Halloween-themed evening of folk music and storytelling.
The duelling fiddles of The Ambrose House Band return with a unique, relaxed evening of special guests, music song, chat and storytelling.
Folk music is no stranger to the darker theme of death, murder, magic and the macabre. Join us on October 31st for a Scottish Halloween evening – a ghost story and a song of murdered lovers.
Enjoy the evening’s musical delights beneath the spectacular painted ceiling of the Geddes Room. Commissioned by Patrick Geddes and supervised by artist Thomas K Bonnar in the 1890s, the panels illustrate a pageant of historical events and illusions, prominent Edinburgh citizens and snippets of Geddes’ philosophical musings.
Tickets include a simple supper of meats, cheeses and fruit.
