The Big Comedy Roadshow
A rip-roaring night of the very best live stand-up comedy starring the TV names you know and love alongside some of the hottest up-and-coming talent. Presented by Scotland’s original home of live comedy Gilded Balloon, this is the ultimate night out for comedy fans!
Multi-award winning Welsh comedian, satirist and writer Kiri Pritchard-McLean is this season’s headliner following appearances on Live at the Apollo, QI and 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Joining her for a hilarious night of comedy is fellow Live at the Apollo star Sikisa, viral sensation Kim Blythe and one of Scotland’s brightest rising stars Daniel Petrie. BBC Breaking the News star and Scottish Comedy Award Winner Jay Lafferty hosts the show.
Line-up is subject to change in exceptional circumstances. In the event of a line-up alteration, a performer of similar calibre will be added.
Kiri Pritchard-McLean
Welsh comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean is a multi-award winning comedian, satirist and writer. Her recent credits include hosting Live at the Apollo and appearances on HIGNFY, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, QI, and Frankie Boyle’s New World Order.
A regular on the radio, with her own weekly show on BBC Radio Wales, Kiri was also the host of Newsjack, she regularly co-hosts Loose Ends, guest hosted The News Quiz, and has now become the host of her own Radio 4 panel show, Best Medicine, which has recently been commissioned for a second series. 2024 sees her embarking on her fourth and biggest stand-up tour to date with her new show, Peacock.

Sikisa
Sikisa is a comedian, writer and producer from South London who has never forgotten her Barbadian roots (yes, the country famous for rum and Rihanna).
Sikisa has been named one to watch with her authentic, fearless and vivacious personality and on-stage presence since winning the public’s vote in the 2017 BBC New Comedy Award competition, for which she was a finalist.. She is also a three-time Leicester Festival Aware nominee for Best Newcomer 2020, Best appearance 2021 and best show 2022 with her work in progress show.
Outside of live work, Sikisa has featured on Live at Apollo (BBC), Comedy Central Live (Comedy Central), Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Sorry I Didn’t Know (ITV), Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club (ITV), The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC), Pie And A Pint (Comedy Central), Off Menu, Evil Genius (BBC Sounds), Perfect Sounds (BBC Sounds), Wheel Of Misfortune (BBC Radio 1), The Leak and Mach Fest (BBC Radio Wales). She is also a regular writer for BBC Radio.
Jay Lafferty

Sought after for her on point satirical views Jay Lafferty has become a regular face on BBC Scotland’s television channel. It was a performance on BBC’s Breaking The News that saw Lafferty hit the front page of The New York Times for her on point description of Theresa May’s catastrophic handling of the Brexit deal. Her Edinburgh Fringe 2019 hit solo show Jay Lafferty: Jammy was made into a BBC Radio Scotland three part series – Jay’s Jammy. During the pandemic alongside the rest of the world Jay took her work online performing comedy all over the world from the comfort of her living room while continuing to be a regular voice on BBC Breaking The News.
Daniel Petrie
Glasgow born and bred Daniel Petrie who despite having made relatively few on-stage appearances due to COVID was a finalist in the So You Think You’re Funny? as well as the Chortle Student Comedy Awards in 2023. In July that same year he appeared on the Latitude Festival comedy stage (as a result of the latter achievement) and in September he taped a set for the BBC New Comedy Awards.
Daniel is also the 2023 winner of the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award.

Kim Blythe
One of Scottish comedy’s most exciting rising stars, Kim Blythe started her comedy journey online accruing nearly 300,000 followers across her social media platforms.
Known for her brilliantly relatable stories, Kim’s unique style blends sharp observations with laugh-out-loud punchlines that’ll have you hooked from start to finish.
Since then she has sold out multiple sold out runs at Edinburgh Fringe and Glasgow International Comedy Festival, won The Skinny/Fest Next Big Thing Award at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Bestie Awards and was shortlisted for the 2024 BBC New Comedy Awards.
