Aberdeen’s funniest tribute band The Bloody Marys announce their triumphant return to normality. Well as close as they can get anyway! After the disappointment of cancelling their long-awaited Christmas Show in December, The Bloody Marys are excited to share the news of the return of their summer show at the Lemon Tree.
Singer Ian Gray says, “Cancelling the Christmas show was disappointing but the right thing to do!!! Whilst working with the Lemon Tree to find an alternative date, we found ourselves in July before a Friday was available. So, we thought what a brilliant time to bring back our Summer Camp show. We have worked so hard for the December show, we can’t wait to share the fruits with everyone. It’s been such a strange couple of years, it’s hard to believe our last Lemon Tree show was 2019! Don’t worry though, as well as being some new stuff, all the old nonsense is still there too.”
The band, which consists of Ian Gray on vocals, guitarist Barry Dodds and Steve Morrison on keyboards, have been wowing crowds since 1994. In the nineties they sold out the Capitol Theatre two years in a row and won the title of Holsten Pils band of the year 1995. Their farewell concert in 1999 sold out the Music Hall. The band reformed in 2011 to the delight of their fans.
