Vehicles used in the D-Day landings more than 80 years ago will take a starring role in the City of Perth Salute on Sunday, August 4.
The Salute is a free, family-friendly event that features a parade through Perth, massed bands and performances and entertainment on the North Inch.
This year’s event will also commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings.
Among the attractions on display will be two identical D-Day Landing Jeeps as used by the Allies during the invasion of Normandy.
On Sunday, the event will kick off with a grand parade featuring massed bands, Second World War vehicles and community groups. The parade will set off from Thimblerow towards the North Inch via High Street and Tay Street.
At the North Inch there will be a host of entertainment from acts including the World's Premier Military style display team, The Imps Motorcycle Display Team and the sg world famous, Red-Hot Chilli Pipers.
Visitors can explore the Salute Fringe which includes the popular Mela Market, Salute Market, WWII reenactors, Militaria and WWII vehicles, from 12 Noon until 4pm.
