The Cordelia Dream
“buried inside you, deeply it must be, irretrievably buried, lies Lear”
Haunted by her dream of Cordelia and Lear, a woman confronts an elderly man, her lifelong antagonist and rival. During their passionate altercation he dismisses her success as a composer and demands she make the ultimate sacrifice: for him to flourish she, his protégée, must be silent.
Five years later, she returns for a final and devastating encounter.
Penned by the multi-award winning author of West-End hit ‘By The Bog of Cats’, comes this timely play of familial love and rivalry. Tom Neill, known for his work with Blackeyed and Original Theatre Companies, directs a cast and creative team that includes national award-winning stage designer Victoria Spearing.
A rare chance to see this exemplary modern drama on its first tour since the play’s première.
