The Harmony of the Spheres celebrates the 400th anniversary of The Harmony of the World by Johannes Kepler in the light of modern astronomy. The event is led by Hartmut Warm, author of The Signature of the Celestial Spheres.
An account of Kepler’s life and ideas in The Harmony of the World, in particular the Third Planetary Law. Computer presentation of planetary relationships using modern astronomical data that confirm Kepler’s conviction that there is a fundamental harmony to the solar system.
Amazing graphic displays of the all-embracing meaningful cosmic order in which we human beings live.
Kepler was convinced that he had discovered a conformity between musical intervals and certain ratios in the planetary system, that involve angular velocities. At the start of the modern science-oriented world outlook Kepler considered a fundamental harmony is founded on spiritual principles or archetypes.
Using modern astronomical and mathematical procedures Hartmut Warm shows Kepler’s ideas regarding a harmony of the world are accurate. Computer plots of long-term relationships between planetary movements show aesthetically pleasing geometrical figures resembling stars and blossoms.
