As part of our programme of events to mark the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, join us at Rothes Halls library on Monday 28th of May, 7pm to listen to Chantal Mrimi - a Rwandan refugee who has made Glenrothes her home, read from her book ‘The Journey of My Life From Rwanda’. One of the most uplifting and powerful true life stories you’ll hear from one of the most inspiring women you’re ever likely to meet. Optimistic, courageous and open about her struggles with mental health, Chantal will read from her book and talk about her incredible life experiences growing up in the Democratic Republic of Congo before making Rwanda her home and finally emigrating to the haven of Scotland. Copies of her book will be available for purchase and signing on the night. Proceeds from the sale of books will go to sponsor the education of children living in poverty in Africa – a cause Chantal is passionate about.
