The Lucid Dream
The Lucid Dream formed in Carlisle, Cumbria in 2008. A string of sold-out 7?s was followed by the debut LP 'Songs Of Lies and Deceit', in 2013. The album gained critical acclaim from Uncut, Q, Rocksound, Clash, Classic Rock Magazine,The Quietus, and leading French culture magazine Les Inrocks, to name a few. The initial vinyl pressing of the debut album (500 copies) sold out within 2 days. The band performed on the main stage at Kendal Calling, made three consecutive appearances at the Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia, and tour in support of with Death In Vegas and A Place To Bury Strangers.
The band's second album, 'The Lucid Dream' was released in 2015 to further acclaim, including positive reviews in Uncut, The Skinny, Louder Than War, and Drowned In Sound. The latter named the the record their #7 album of 2015.
Their 2016 album, 'Compulsion Songs' was released in September 2016. The vinyl pressing of the album sold-out within a day, prompting an immediate 2nd press, with pre-sales of the album topping 1,000 before release. The album was backed by a headline UK tour and a main stage slot at Liverpool International Festival of Psychedelia (singled out as a highlight performance by The Quietus, The Skinny and Drowned In Sound). The album again received acclaim from the likes of Mojo, Uncut, Classic Rock Magazine, BBC Radio 2 (Huey Morgan) and received airplay from multiple DJs at BBC 6 Music.
