Bringing together the remarkable talents of established folk artists Nancy Kerr, Findlay Napier, Tom Wright, Alex Hunter and legendary guitarist Martin Simpson, The Magpie Arc is everything you’d expect from such an award-winning line-up. Featuring lush harmonies, scything electric guitars, gorgeous fiddle lines, as well as rock-solid bass and drums, the unique band’s music was described by BBC Radio 2’s Mark Radcliffe as ‘folk/rock with Led Zeppelin vibes’.
The Magpie Arc’s first full-length album, Glamour In The Grey, debuted in the top 10 of the UK Official Folk Chart on its November 2022 release and it remains in the Chart, enjoying an unbroken run.
UK singer-songwriter Katherine Priddy has quickly become one of the most exciting names on the British music scene. Priddy’s haunting vocals and distinctive finger-picking guitar style have already seen her sell out a headline tour, perform at prestigious festivals around the UK and abroad, including Glastonbury where she featured on their BBC 2 coverage.
Her debut album, The Eternal Rocks Beneath, was released in June 2021 to great acclaim and early 2024 sees the release of Priddy’s eagerly-awaited second album, The Pendulum Swing. Her live performances are engaging, moving and amusing by turn, delivering original songs with emotional maturity, depth and particularly noteworthy lyrics. Despite the delicate nuances of her sound, Katherine Priddy is not a fragile wallflower, but a determined young woman making her mark.
