It is our pleasure to welcome you back to the Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel on Saturday 25th January 2020 for the 2nd Rabbie Burns Ball. A Black Tie Dinner & Ceilidh to celebrate the life and work of Scotland's most famous poet, Robert Burns. Throughout the evening we will be putting on various fundraising activities including a raffle, all in support of mental health with all proceeds going to the Scottish Association for Mental Health. After dinner, you will be treated to a full traditional Scottish Ceilidh and live entertainment until 1am.
We are delighted to announce that we will be joined by Dan Keeley, Founder of #AREWEOKUK, who will share his powerful and personal story on his battle with mental illness and his insights into how everyone is going through something. Dan has been leading a collaborative movement to empower the UK to speak up when they're suffering so that we can show future generations how it's done. Dan will be our after-dinner speaker, be prepared for a gripping and moving speech from an incredibly inspirational man.
We all have mental health and no individual is without struggle. It is so important that as a culture and a community, we help to eliminate the stigma by talking about our own mental health and normalising the conversation for future generations.
A problem shared is a problem halved.
