This workshop will feature a new harmonic soundscape by Corrina Hewat written to remind us to stop and breathe in a fast-changing world. Corrina is a longtime harmony singing workshop leader at the festival and will ably guide you through the experience. You don’t have to read music or be a ‘singer’ of any sort - it’s all about group singing. You will be given a graphic score and words. Please note: this workshop may be recorded/filmed.
This event will take place in the City of Music Studio at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.
All songs will be taught by ear, no need to read music. Sunday 4th will finish with a big sing for all participants after the last workshop, between 3.30-4pm, in the Green Room, then a mass group sing on the main staircase. Workshops £10 each.
Suitable for adults and children over 12, unless otherwise stated.
The Celtic Connections programme of workshops is designed to inspire people of all ability levels to get involved in traditional music. Please book early to avoid disappointment, as numbers are limited.
