Edinburgh’s Shinty Club - Tayforth Camanachd - is excited to invite adults of all ages and abilities to experience the fun and athletic sport of shinty on February 15th at the Peffermill Playing Fields. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or a complete beginner, this is your chance to try out one of Scotland's most historic and dynamic sports.
The season is just about to start and Tayforth is looking for new players to join the men’s and women’s squads. Whether you’ve played field hockey, camogie, hurling, football, rugby, or none of the above and you’re looking for a new challenge - why not Try Shinty?

What to Expect:
Introduction to Shinty: Learn the basics of the game from experienced players and coaches.
Friendly Matches: Participate in fun, friendly matches to get a real feel for the sport.
Equipment: You can borrow club Caman/Shinty sticks and helmets. Come ready to play, bring studded football boots if you have them.
Watch a game: We’ll be hosting Stirling University Men’s Shinty team for a friendly match from 2 pm
Refreshments: We’ll go for a drink afterward.
